Boca do Inferno.

Not far from Lisbon is a town called Cascais. On our last day of adventuring around Portugal, we stopped by Cascais to check out the Boca do Inferno, or the Hell’s Mouth.

It’s called Boca do Inferno because of the violent crashing of waves against the rock.

They have a couple of different paths for you to take (depending on how adventurous/sure-footed you’re feeling).

When we were there, the waves were pretty tame. Still pretty to look at though!

After getting our fill of Hell’s Mouth, we went into Cascais to get some lunch and walk around. We took too long at lunch and only got to have a wee look about. It was a charming seaside town, so I’d be keen to return to Cascais one day.

Have you been to Cascais? Did you check out the Boca do Inferno?
