A Wee Christmas Carnival in Glasgow.

A couple of days ago, one of my friends invited me to a Christmas thing that her daughter was involved in the making of costumes. Even though I don’t believe in celebrating Christmas before Thanksgiving, I decided to get into the Christmas spirit a week early!

I didn’t realize until we got there that it was a wee Christmas Parade!

These ladies were so happy and really kicked off the parade with the right sort of Christmas cheer!

Then there was a wagon with Santa Claus and Elsa, obviously.

These guys were really quite fun! They walked by playing their drums and bagpipes, making the affair quite Scottish if you ask me!

Then came Leanne’s costumes that she’s spent the last few weeks creating.

The wee snowmen were my favorites.

I have no idea what this was meant to be. Leanne said they had wanted the girl to hold a wee chihuahua, but the egg thing scared him too much for her to hold him.

These girls must be dancers of some sort. Right before I snapped the photo, they all did a high kick mid-stride.

This lady made me smile! She was having such fun dancing about!

I love these candle people. Every parade I’ve seen in Glasgow, they’ve been there. Rolling around on their roller skates.

This guy looks so much like my parent’s neighbor! I almost shouted out to him!

Haley’s is a massive toy shop here in Britain. They’ve got a pretty big shop here in Glasgow, so they were well-represented in the parade.

The parade ended with some more drummers. Banging out some nice beats.

The Christmas Carnival was small, but really quite entertaining. It was cool to know someone who was working on the costumes, and to see her handiwork on display!

Have you been to any Christmas Parades yet?
