Sadly, I don’t actually have photos of the hot dogs…or the spritzers. But Piglet insisted that I make a post about them and us hanging out on the National Mall.
Luckily, I do have photos of that!
We started with a peek around the Smithsonian Castle (most of which was shut to visitors when we went) and then hopped out to the Mall.
Just outside the doors of the Natural History Museum there is a snack stand that has Nathan’s hot dogs and delicious spritzers. We all agreed that we were a bit peckish and thirsty, so we got a snack and sat down in the grass to soak in our surroundings. The hot dog was good – Nathan’s is a pretty good quality hot dog. The spritzers were delicious and refreshing. I preferred the white peach because it was lighter and more refreshing. Julia and Piglet both preferred the raspberry because it had a stronger flavor.
I caught a yogi doing some yoga!
If you’re in between museums and needing a minute to recharge, the National Mall was exactly what we needed. Our snack rejuvenated us to power through one more museum before suppertime. It was also a welcome chance to really chat with Julia and Piglet about our plans and futures.
