Team 16A, as we called ourselves, decided to use our first weekend in Scotland to venture to the capital and explore Edinburgh for a day. Our first order of business in Edinburgh was of course their most famous tourist destination: Edinburgh Castle. We were lucky that we had so many people in our group that we were able to get the discounted admission – not that the admission is a bank-breaker (£16.00). That price also includes a free guided tour if you are willing to make your visit fit the times (I think they happen every half-hour or so). Which I highly recommend, our tour guide was amazing.
Edinburgh Castle is massive and lovely. The tour guide was super knowledgeable, personable and funny.
Maybe you’ll even see a wedding, like we did!
