burgers on bourbon.

We decided on Bayou Burger for supper on New Year’s Eve eve for our night of drinking before the big night. You might remember us coming here back on our last road trip. I’ve been remembering how yummy it was and I was seriously looking forward to coming back for another burger.

Rambo went for the nontraditional hot dog – the Zydeco. It’s a hot dog, battered and fried. With cheese, slaw, Tabasco mayo, and ketchup.
It was really yummy. The batter was had a hint of sweetness that played well with the ketchup and Tabasco mayo. And, I don’t know if you can tell, but that hot dog is huge. Like Costco-sized!

I went for the mouthwatering Croquer burger. It’s essentially a Croque Madame sandwich with two burger patties stuffed inside.

In case you can’t see it, its got ham, gruyere cheese, garlic mayo with a fried egg on top.

And the egg is perfectly cooked so that the yolk runs down the burger when you cut into it.

The flavor of the burger was rich and decadent and amazing. I’m seriously going to have to experiment with this.
