I went for my usual: the Sexy Hawaiian. It has prosciutto, pineapple salsa, jalapeño jack cheese, and teriyaki sauce. I love this burger. The pineapple salsa gives it a subtle sweet flavor. And prosciutto makes everything better. This location made the salsa a bit different – with bits of raw onion in it. I’m not down with onions, so most of the salsa was kicked off the burger. But prosciutto, teriyaki, and cheese on a perfectly cooked burger is pretty tough to beat.
Mom went for the Big Tex: cheddar, guac, fried onion strings and chipotle sauce. She devoured that sucker like it might get away.
Dad opted for the burger of the month for September: Southern Comfort. A cheddar burger with fried green tomatoes, BBQ bourbon glaze and bacon. A man of few words, he simply stated that “It’s good”.
Instead of everyone getting a side, we went for the platebox of fried goodness. It’s not on the menu, but they will do it if you ask (obvi). Fried pickles, onion straws, french fries, fried green beans, and sweet potato chips (as in crisps, not fries). It comes with two sides of spicy ranch to dip it all in. This is the south to me. If you can eat it, you can fry it.
I got a different burger too! I got the Enough Said (and fried green beans). The Enough Said has cheddar, bacon-ranch sauce and …(drumroll, please) potato chips! I got a lamb burger, and it was yummy – but very lamb-y. There was no mistaking that taste!
