On our last full day in Vienna, we decided to be terribly aristocratic and have cake for lunch. We were temporarily distracted by a würstelstand on the way there and decided to split a currywürst in a roll. After our pitstop, we headed into town to the Café Sacher in the Hotel Sacher. Allegedly this is the place for Sacher torte. If it isn’t from here, then it isn’t really sacher torte. Rambo went for the Sacher torte with an einspänner. I went the less traditional route and got apfelstrudel (apple strudel).
The torte and strudel were pretty spectacular. The Café Sacher is pretty swank inside, too. After happily eating cake for lunch, we went for a stroll around town. After a few hours of mindless meandering, we stumbled upon the 1516 Brewing Company.
