After we ate our poboys, we went for a wee walk and shopping. Then came the pièce de résistance: Café du Monde. The place was pretty packed, but we managed to get a table and served rather quickly. Then came our treat: 1 order of beignets and 2 frozen café au laits. I’m not much of a coffee drinker, so I may have added quite a bit of sugar. As I looked down at the plate piled high with powdered sugar, I had an epiphany. Powdered sugar IN the café au lait! SO yum! We went for a long stroll around the French Quarter and ended up on Bourbon Street. We decided to eat supper at one of the many restaurants on Bourbon. I opted for a yum burger at Bayou Burger. Graeme decided to only have a schooner of Shock Top for supper. I got a Bourbon Burger with no onions or pickles with grilled mushrooms and garlic mayo. Oh man. This burger was absolutely everything I wanted in my slightly inebriated state.
